This handcrafted Galvanized Iron Strainer is a must-have traditional tool for cleaning rice, wheat, dal, and other grains in Indian kitchens. Made with care by skilled artisans, this strainer features approximately 3mm perforations designed to effectively remove broken grains, husk, dust, and other unwanted particles.

Crafted in a seamless, jointless design, this model offers superior durability and strength compared to jointed versions. With no welds or weak points, it ensures long-lasting use without the risk of breakage or separation over time. The flat, wide base and evenly punched holes make grain cleaning efficient and fast.

A staple in both everyday kitchen routines and traditional events like marriages and poojas, this strainer preserves cultural heritage while offering practical utility. As a handmade item, slight variations in size may occurβ€”but the quality and function remain uncompromised.

Maintenance & care :

After its soak, turn the sieve upside down under running water. If you have a dishwasher, you could use it at this pointβ€”but beware that larger food bits from other dishes can get lodged in the sieve. Otherwise, scrubbing it by hand is the most effective (if more time-consuming) way.

Sieving

Sieving is a method of using a sieve to distinguish small particles from bigger particles. It is used in flour mills or building sites. Impurities such as husks and stones are extracted from wheat at flour mill. They remove pebbles and stones from sand through sieving.
