Experience the charm of India’s traditional board games with our Handcrafted Teak Wood Pallanguzhi, a timeless 14-pit Mancala-style game played across South India for centuries. Made from premium quality seasoned teak wood, this board is strong, durable, smooth-finished, and perfect for both kids and adults.

This classic game is played between two players, using cowrie shells (or seeds/pebbles) distributed across the fourteen pits—seven on each side. The objective is simple: collect more shells than your opponent using strategy, counting skills, and memory. The player begins by picking shells from any pit on their side and distributing them one by one into the following pits, planning each move carefully.

Perfect for indoor play, Pallanguzhi is a beautiful blend of fun and learning. It encourages children to learn counting, develop eye–hand coordination, boost concentration, and enhance logical thinking. Adults enjoy it for its strategic depth and nostalgic value.

Beautifully crafted and designed for long-lasting use, this teak wood Pallanguzhi is not just a game—it’s a piece of cultural heritage that can be passed down for generations.

Pallanguzhi - Passuppandi

Pallanguzhi is a classic South Indian strategy game played on a beautiful teak wood board with 14 pits (2 rows × 7 columns). The game uses seeds, shells, or small stones as counters. Players take turns picking counters from any pit on their side and distributing them counter-clockwise across all pits, including the opponent’s row.

If the last counter lands before an empty pit, the player can capture the shells from the next pit—depending on the game variant. Play continues until one player collects the most shells and wins.

Loved by both kids and elders, this game helps children learn counting, improve hand–eye coordination, concentration, planning, and memory—while elders enjoy quality time with family. A perfect blend of tradition, learning, and fun on a premium handcrafted teak wood board.
